Momenta Privacy Policy

Momenta is a private memory diary from Regulus Framework Limited. This policy explains what the app stores, where data lives, which permissions are used, and the controls available to you.

Local-firstCore memory capture works with data stored on your device.
User controlledExports, deletes, reminders, sharing, and sync settings are managed by you.

Information Momenta Stores

  • Memories you create, including titles, notes, tags, moods, timestamps, and attachment references.
  • Local app preferences, including lock settings, reminder settings, permission preferences, and appearance choices.
  • Optional diagnostic crash reports stored on-device for troubleshooting.

Where Data Lives

  • Momenta stores app data locally in your device database by default.
  • Core use does not require cloud sync.
  • Optional cloud sync can be enabled through configured services in Settings.
  • Exports are user-initiated and are shared only when you choose to share them.

Security Controls

  • Optional biometric or passcode app lock.
  • Inactivity auto-lock timeout.
  • Optional sensitive-content masking in list previews and app switching surfaces.

Your Controls

  • Export local data as JSON.
  • Delete local data with explicit confirmation.
  • Clear recent-search history at any time.
  • Disable reminders and notifications at any time.
  • Configure trusted contacts for explicit memory sharing.
  • Enable or disable cloud backup and sync when those services are configured.

Permissions

  • Notifications are used for reminder prompts only.
  • Biometrics are used for app unlock only.
  • Camera and photo library access are used to attach photos to memories.
  • Microphone access is used to record voice notes for memories.
  • Network requests for optional cloud sync, transcription, or summaries run only when those features are configured and used.

Sharing and Optional Services

Momenta does not share your journal content by default. Memory exports, trusted-contact sharing, cloud sync, voice transcripts, and AI summaries are optional flows controlled from the app. Do not include private journal content in support emails unless the support team asks for a redacted example.
